Travel Safe. Travel Responsibly.

Building customer trust through clear safety guidelines, weather awareness, and responsible travel practices across Karnataka and South India.

General Safety Guidelines

1. Trip Leader Instructions

Always follow the instructions of your assigned ALEYONA trip captain. Stay with the group during transit, plantation walks, and trail hikes.

2. Appropriate Apparel & Footwear

Wear sturdy walking/trekking shoes with rubber soles. Avoid smooth fashion footwear. Carry breathable cotton layers and rain protection.

3. Hydration & Personal Medication

Carry a reusable 1-liter water bottle and personal prescription medications. Our team carries basic first aid kits for emergency needs.

4. Local Rules & Homestay Discipline

Respect homestay guidelines, quiet hours after 10:00 PM, regional forest laws, and activity restrictions set by local authorities.

Adventure & Trekking Guidelines

Outdoor trekking in the Western Ghats involves natural terrain variations. While our team prepares every route thoroughly, weather and terrain condition changes require personal responsibility and group discipline.

Fitness Consideration: Choose trek difficulty levels (Easy vs Moderate) matching your personal physical condition.
Trail Closures: Forest department permits and official trail closures must be strictly obeyed without exception.
Avoiding Risky Behavior: Never venture near slippery waterfall edges, unverified cliff edges, or swift river currents independently.

Weather & Road Conditions Policy

Western Ghats and coastal Karnataka weather can change unexpectedly. Itineraries may be adjusted by your trip captain in response to heavy monsoons, landslides, road diversions, forest department notices, or safety requirements.

💡 Safety First: If a specific viewpoint or activity is restricted by authorities due to safety, our trip captain will provide a safe alternative sight-seeing route.

Leave Places Better Than You Found Them

We are guests in local village communities, tea estates, and mountain ecosystems. ALEYONA enforces a strict responsible travel policy.

● Zero Plastic Littering

Carry back all plastic wrappers, bottles, and non-biodegradable waste to designated dustbins in town.

● Respect Local Communities

Be courteous to homestay hosts, local farmers, and villagers. Ask permission before taking close-up photos.

● Wildlife & Forest Preservation

Do not feed wild animals or disturb nesting birds along jungle forest routes and Bandipur corridors.

● Support Local Homestays

We source authentic malnad and Kodava meals directly from family homestays to support regional rural livelihoods.
